German business confidence index expected to fall slightly - TD Securities

FXStreet (Łódź) - Prashant Newnaha, Asia-Pacific Macro Strategist at TD Securities suggests that the German IFO numbers will show a slight deterioration in September.

Key quotes

"Consensus looks for declines across the German IFO indices, with the current assessment seeing the largest decline with a one point fall."

"We agree with the direction and relative hits, but see the risks to the downside across the board."

"The declines in the IFO in August were actually not as severe as they could have been, and yesterday’s PMIs suggested sentiment softened further on the month."

"As a result, we look for one point declines in the headline and expectations component and 1.5 point decline in current expectations."
