NZD/USD down to fresh two and half year lows onto 0.76 handle

FXStreet (Guatemala) - NZD/USD is trading at 0.7678, down -0.24% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.7691 and low at 0.7652.

NZD/USD is drifting lower on the greenbacks strength with markets returning after thin trade over Asia across the bank holidays. The pair has been pressed down through the 0.77 handle to the half way mark on 0.76 making a fresh two and half year low where demand took the pair back and recover to current levels.

The greenback trades at its highest level for more than five years and the trend is set to continue. This week will reveal the minutes of the FOMC December meeting and at the end of the week we are back onto US jobs data with the Decembers Nonfarm Payrolls.
