UK: Annual CPI at 2.7% in August, as expected
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - On an annual basis UK CPI slid to 2.7% in August from 2.8% in July, National Statistics informed on Tuesday. This result is in line with forecasts. Month-over-month UK CPI grew 0.4%, after remaining flat and slightly below expectations of +0.5%.
UK annual core CPI rose 2% for the second consecutive month, below consensus of +2.1%.
