US: Markit Manufacturing PMI fell to 52.8 in September

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who secured third term in power in the Sunday elections, held a press conference in Berlin on Monday, during which she told reporters that she had already spoken with the chairman of the Social Democrats Sigmar Gabriel about the possibility of forming a coalition. She added however that she was open to talks with other parties.
