Wall Street ends at record highs after ECB, ahead of NFP

FXStreet (Córdoba) - Stocks in the US finished at record highs after the ECB announced stimulus measures and ahead of the release of the NFP report. The Dow Jones rose 98 points to finish at 16,836; the Nasdaq gained 1.04% and the S&P 500 climbed 12 point to end at 1,940 posting a new record for the second day in a row.

Risk appetite pushed the US dollar to the downside in the currency market, while gold rose $10 to finish at $1,254, having the best day in three weeks. Crude oil fell slightly and ended hovering around $102,50 a barrel.

Japan: Abe calls for early GPIF portfolio changes

According to Nikkei, Japanese PM Shinzo Abe asked his health and welfare minister Norihisa Tamura to accelerate the decision-making process over the re-allocation of GPIF assets.
